Validation model
Workbench validation is evidence for a defined change, environment, input, procedure, and expected result. A successful test does not establish universal compatibility, future performance, security, or acceptance outside that scope.
A reproducible validation record identifies:
- the change and source revision;
- the controlled test scope and prerequisites;
- the environment and relevant configuration;
- the procedure and expected results;
- the observed results and retained artifacts;
- findings, deviations, and limitations; and
- the authorized reviewer and decision.
Testing may be risk-based and use multiple stages, but no stage name or tool implies a product-wide technology commitment. Missing or protected evidence must be recorded as a gap or retained in an authorized private system.
